Usually cylindrical, often made of metal. Inside, it has a ceramic or metal body with small passageways covered with a layer of precious metals (platinum, palladium, rhodium).
Function
The main function is to reduce exhaust pollution by converting harmful chemical compounds into less harmful ones (carbon dioxide, water vapour).
Materials
Contains precious metals (platinum, palladium, rhodium) that help chemical reactions.
